The Dog House Megaways slot
This page covers The Dog House Megaways, Pragmatic Play's reworking of its kennel-themed slot on the Megaways engine (and, again, nothing to do with the TV series). The dogs, the kennel wilds and the garden fence all return, but the grid is new: six reels, each of which can hold anywhere from 2 to 7 symbols per spin. As the reel heights change, so does the number of ways to win, which swings between 64 and 117,649.
It adds two things the original lacks: a choice of free spins mode and a maximum win of 12,305x the stake.

Understanding the ways counter
The number shown above the reels is worked out by multiplying the symbol count on each of the six reels. If every reel shows seven symbols you have 117,649 ways; if every reel shows two, you have just 64. More ways increase the chance that matching symbols appear on adjacent reels. They do not increase the value of any particular combination.
There are no paylines. A win is formed when identical symbols land on neighbouring reels starting from the far left, in any position on each reel.

Payouts and kennel wilds
Because so many combinations are possible, each one pays less than on the 20-line original. A dog on all six reels returns somewhere from 1.5x to 7.5x your stake, depending on which dog it is. The kennel wild can land on reels 2, 3, 4 and 5, fills in for every symbol other than the scatter, and may bring a 2x or 3x multiplier. When several kennels feed into one win, their multipliers are totalled.
Sticky Wilds or Raining Wilds
Three or more paw scatters landing anywhere trigger the free spins. Before the first spin, you choose the mode, and the number of scatters decides how many spins each mode offers:
| Scatters | Sticky Wilds | Raining Wilds |
|---|---|---|
| 3 | 7 free spins | 15 free spins |
| 4 | 12 free spins | 18 free spins |
| 5 | 15 free spins | 25 free spins |
| 6 | 20 free spins | 30 free spins |
Sticky Wilds hands you between 2 and 7 sticky wilds valued from x1 to x3. They remain in place for the whole round and resize whenever their reel changes height. Fewer spins, but each wild earns its keep until the end.
Raining Wilds drops up to six wilds worth x1 to x3 onto random spots on each spin. None of them stick, but the round lasts roughly twice as long. Whichever you pick, extra scatters during the bonus will not add spins.
Which mode suits you?
Think of Sticky Wilds as the high-ceiling option: when wilds settle early, they contribute on every spin that follows and the grid can fill with multipliers. Raining Wilds is the steadier choice, with new wilds each spin but no build-up. A common approach is to go sticky when you have landed 5 or 6 scatters and the round is long enough to benefit, and to take Raining Wilds when you have only 3, because the sticky version then gives you a mere 7 spins. Try both in the demo and see which you prefer.
Buying the bonus
If your platform permits feature purchases, free spins can be bought outright for 100x your stake. The next spin delivers 3 to 6 scatters and you pick your mode in the usual way. It is the quickest route into the feature and also the most expensive, so it is worth rehearsing in the demo before spending real pounds.
