What Megaways changes
Same backyard, same dogs, very different engine. The Dog House Megaways swaps the fixed 5×3 grid for six reels that each show anywhere from 2 to 7 symbols per spin. That means the number of ways to win shifts constantly, from as few as 64 up to 117,649, and a display above the reels tells you where it stands each time.
Two changes make this edition worth playing even if you already know the original. You get to pick how the free spins work, and the maximum payout rises to 12,305x your bet.

Ways, not lines
Forget paylines. Matching symbols simply have to appear on neighbouring reels, beginning with reel one, and it does not matter which row they sit in. Taller reels create more possible connections. The trade-off is lower individual prizes than the original: six matching dogs pay between 1.5x and 7.5x your bet.
The kennel lands on reels 2, 3, 4 and 5 and replaces any symbol apart from the paw scatter. It may carry 2x or 3x, and if two or more kennels are part of one win their values are added.
A quick note on the ways display: it is just the symbol counts of all six reels multiplied together. All reels at 7 gives the maximum 117,649; all at 2 gives the minimum 64. More ways improve the chance that matching symbols connect, but the payout for each individual combination stays the same.
Sticky Wilds or Raining Wilds
Land three or more paws anywhere and you are asked to pick a mode. The number of spins depends on the scatters and on your choice:
| Paws | Sticky Wilds | Raining Wilds |
|---|---|---|
| 3 | 7 spins | 15 spins |
| 4 | 12 spins | 18 spins |
| 5 | 15 spins | 25 spins |
| 6 | 20 spins | 30 spins |
With Sticky Wilds you receive between 2 and 7 wilds that lock in place for the whole bonus, each carrying x1 to x3, and they grow or shrink with the height of their reel. With Raining Wilds, up to six wilds carrying x1 to x3 are dropped onto random spots on every spin, but they vanish afterwards. Whichever you pick, extra paws during the bonus will not add spins; there is no retrigger in either mode.
Our take on the choice
Sticky Wilds is the higher-ceiling pick when you have enough spins for the locked wilds to pay off, which is why it tends to make most sense with 5 or 6 paws. Raining Wilds is steadier and gives you more spins, which suits a three-paw trigger where the sticky option would give you only 7. None of this changes the maths behind the game; it is about which ride you prefer. Play a few rounds of each in the demo and you will know.
Skip the wait: feature buy
On platforms that allow it, you can jump straight to the bonus for 100x your bet. The following spin produces 3 to 6 paws, and then you choose Sticky or Raining. It is the fastest way to compare the two modes, and also the priciest, so test it with virtual credits before spending real rand.
